Meet Mary Johns........
To sum up “What’s Mary all about?” you just
need to think PEOPLE…RELATIONSHIPS….
CONNECTIONS……INVOLVEMENT IN LIVES.
Mary is the middle child of nine, and growing up
in a small town in South Dakota, she learned
from an early age that connecting with people is
what life is all about for her. Mary was just
thirteen when her mother died, and her family
drew upon one another for their strength. Mary’s
motto has always been “Surround me with
caring people and I can accomplish most
anything!”
Mary is married to retired Naval Officer, now high
school physics teacher, Mike. They have been
married for 25 years and have two sons, Matt,
20, and Jeff, 17. Her own career path could be
summed up by calling her a “Decades Kinda
Girl”… In her twenties Mary worked as a
Registered Nurse and then became a stay at
home mom throughout her thirties. Her forties
brought part time employment as both a
substitute teacher and a chiropractic community
educator. Mary just turned fifty and the doors to
public speaking have opened up for her to
become a Sister Friend, along with good pal
Joyce Robinson!
When Mary can connect with the heart and soul
of her audience, she knows she’s doing what
God called her to do…. become fully involved in
people's lives!

Meet Joyce Robinson.......
Born and raised in rural Missouri, Joyce is one of twelve
children and learned at an early age that laughter and
friendship are good for the body and soul. After
graduating from high school, Joyce left her small town
and joined the Army looking for adventure. She eventually
met her husband, Ben, and while she stayed in uniform
for only eight years, Ben made it his career and retired
after 30 years as a Sergeant Major. A highlight of Joyce's
military service was her assignment to the Pentagon in
the late 80s.
Lifestyle changes took place when the family started -
Joyce became a full time mother to Abi and three years
later to Adam. As of this writing, Joyce & Ben have been
married 26 years. There have been many wonderful
opportunities to gather material from all these sources,
including several moves, play groups, PTO, book club,
VBS, Bible studies, large family dynamics and in general
just living and loving on people.
The family currently resides in St Charles County, just
down the street from her Sister Friend Mary. Joyce
considers herself blessed to be able to live the life she
feels God created her for - to share love, laughter, and
friendship with everyone she meets ... including the
person scanning or bagging her groceries or the one
standing in line next to her at the post office!

participants in Community Bible Study for the
past 12 years. Their passion for Christ is the
foundation for their lives.
Mary and Joyce have spent the past ten years
producing and performing vignettes about
life, relationships and women just being
women. It is their hearts' desire to reach out
to people and show them the joy, humor, love
and value in everyday life experiences.
The Sister Friends!
Both Mary and Joyce have been leaders and
participants in Community Bible Study for the
past 12 years. Their passion for Christ is the
foundation for their lives.
